While bizarre, nobody really knows what’s going on with these lone appendages, which all have washed up within roughly miles of each other. Vancouver City Coroner Stephen Fonseca told the Daily Beast he examined the feet but found no signs of “mechanical disarticulation” — meaning everyone can cross off the possibility that a serial murderer hacked off the feet.
Rather, they probably decomposed from their host bodies naturally. Importantly, that doesn’t rule out the serial killer scenario, but foul play of any kind seems unlikely.
